Having bad credit can cost you a lot of money. For example, did you know that a typical home can cost you between $50,000 and $100,000 more in interest if you are buying the home with bad credit? On average, you will end up paying about $1,500 to $5,000 more for a car if you have bad credit.

Good credit can save you money.

Bad credit will make it harder for you to rent an apartment, get a car loan, home loan, cell phone, or even go back to school. It also means paying higher insurance premiums and can even prevent you from getting a job.

Having Good Credit Can Help You Save Money

Over your lifetime the cost of having to pay higher interest rates can really add up. The money that you pay lenders is money that you could use to live a better life. By having good credit, you will be able to save money to take more vacations, send your kids to college, live in a nicer home or drive a better car.

Many people believe that once they have bad credit, they are stuck with it. They believe that they will have to wait at least 7 years for it to come off and there is nothing they can do about it. However, that’s simply not true. There are things you can do to start fixing your credit today.

How I Got Bad Credit

A few years ago, I went through some tough times in my life. I lost my job after the company I worked for went under. The bills piled up and I was unable to make my monthly payments. Eventually, all of my credit card accounts were charged-off and sent to collection agencies.

My life became a nightmare of collection calls and endless harassment from debt collectors. Eventually, I filed bankruptcy and was relieved of my debt, but the damage to my credit scores was already done.

What I Did About It

For years I was denied the chance to own a home and get a new car – all because my credit scores were too low for the banks to even consider giving me a loan. Getting turned down for loans over and over was frustrating and embarrassing.

A friend told me about Lexington Law and was ranting and raving about how awesome they were. I was skeptical at first, but after seeing what they did for him, I knew I had to give them a try.

Boy, am I glad I did! After about 3 weeks, I started receiving letters from the credit bureaus stating that negative accounts had been removed from my credit reports! (See below.)

Charge Offs Removed from My Credit Report:

Let me just say that paying for a professional to do my credit repair was the best choice I ever made, hands-down. The first round of letters they sent got charge-offs removed from my credit report, just like that.
