To that end, is pleased to announce its annual scholarship program, open to any student currently attending a college or university in the U.S.

The rising cost of tuition, housing, books, and other expenses shouldn’t inhibit your ability to succeed now or after college. Apply for our scholarship and the chance to win a $1,000 scholarship that will be applied directly towards your next semester’s tuition payment. Applicants must submit an essay and meet a few other eligibility requirements to be considered.

How You Can Apply

Eligible students may submit a written essay on the following topic:

“Why is credit important to your future and how have you worked to achieve your own good credit?”

Essays must be a minimum of 800 words. To be considered a competitive candidate, you should demonstrate a working knowledge of credit scores and their importance both during college and beyond. Primary sources are encouraged and should be properly cited within the paper.

Essays may be submitted in one of three ways:

  1. As a Microsoft Word attachment sent to [email protected]
  2. Published anywhere online, including a personal blog or other website, with the link sent to [email protected]
  3. Uploaded as a YouTube video. Both the video link and text version of the essay should both be sent to [email protected]

When submitting your essay, also be sure to include the following information about yourself:

  • Full name
  • A copy of’s Content Contribution Agreement
  • Name of college or university, major, and anticipated graduation date
  • Copy of most recent transcript

Who is Eligible?

Eligible students must be undergraduates enrolled full-time at an accredited U.S. college or university. Cumulative GPA must be at least a 2.5. Students of any age are welcome to apply. However, students may only be awarded an scholarship once in their lifetime, so previous winners are not eligible to apply.

How Much is the Scholarship?

The selected winner will be awarded a one-time scholarship of $1,000. The scholarship will be paid directly to the student’s institution for the next semester’s tuition.

What is the Application Deadline?

All applications must be submitted in full by midnight EST on December 15, 2017. The applicant will be selected within one week of the deadline.

How is the Winner Selected? convenes a Scholarship Committee that reviews each application individually. Committee members then rank each essay accordingly and the student with the highest score is deemed the winner.

The winner will be notified via email and asked to sign an acceptance letter. will then announce the winner on our website and social media channels. We will also publish the winning essay on our blog to help inspire other college students to build or repair their credit to ensure a strong financial future.
