Game Plan is on a distinguished road
Default Paid off the IRS

I am finally done with the IRS. I racked up a HUGE balance between 2000 - 2003due to stock options from a company where I use to work. The IPO and being “rich” for a few years was a blast. Taking the better part of a decade to pay of the tax due was miserable. I finally have the most powerful and aggressive bill collectors in the world paid off for good. Now I can start to clean up the mess left behind!

Good job! You are probably a budget guru by now. What is your plan for fixing your credit?

Sky Blue has been working on that for a little over a month now.

I have never used them. I was able to get a 30 day late off in a couple weeks with Lexington Law. My neighbor has used them to get a bankruptcy off. I took him about a year to get it off though because they have to get like 28 items off that were listed in the BK first.

Wow, I had exactly the same story: I was rich on stock options from 2000 to 2001, spent the next decade to deal with the tax liens, finally got them paid off and am now going strong. My credit is now getting fixed and I've gotten my career going too. It has been really painful and difficult. But I got through it. I feel like I lost a decade, but life is like that sometimes.

Any update on your credit situation and how Sky Blue is helping you out. I'm in a similar situation and I would love to enter in a debt repair program.

They have had a few bad marks removed but all three of my scores are around 600 so we have a long way to go. I have only been with them about 3 months or so and will give them more time to work on things and see what happens. I think my credit file may be a bit more challenging than most. So far, their customer service has been excellent.
