Well to cut it short i moved to florida in 2003. Everything was going well until the 5 hurricanes lost my job and was living off of cc to support my family...Got a job but then got behind in all bills....then 2009...lost my job again due to the economy....then moved up to Ny with a great job....i came about this site and thought it would take me years and wondering how to resolve my CR. I'm amazed on what can be done. I moved up to NY with a credit rating of 530....so i started reading and and taking action on my CR.....I bought a car from toyota about 4 months ago....Surprisingly when i pulled my credit due to me paying on time my credit was exp-622, tu-630, equ-650.....My hope and dream is to be able to buy a home by next summer.......BTW u guys are great on all this info to improving your CR.... |

I'm sorry to hear about your tough times. I have been laid off since June 2009, its not easy. But congrats on such improvement, that's awesome! I hope I can achieve similar results, I'm new here too.

congrats! It sounds like you are well on your way. I started reading here in late Nov, 2010 with a 610 EXP, and on Dec 20th my EXP score rose to 690. I am still working on the other 2 and hope it goes as well. I too never really did anything with my CR since having kids and becoming a SAHM. I stupidly thought that there wasn't reason to since I wasn't applying for anything or using credit cards. Wow was I wrong. The simple act of getting married and changing your name with SS and on your accounts but not updating with the CR and having your maiden name removed opens you up to all kinds of fraud and ID theft. Who knew. I didn't. Best wishes to everyone out there. Don't give up the fight. |
