*first post!!!* So, long story short i defaulted on a student loan. I dont remember exactly what i did, but I was offered loan to get it taken care of and I let that go crazy as well. So now, I have three entries on my credit report, the original loan, Direct Loans "paid after charge off" and then two charge offs on two other entries, US Dept of Ed. I guess my question is, should I have all three reported? And also, it states that these should drop off in 12/11 when they are being reported "opened" on 2/03. I received the actual loan in 98, so im guessing my first missed payment had to be earlier, right? I know, a lot to digest. I just want them gone... Any loopholes you gurus can see me jumping through here? Thanks in advance.... gettin' |

There are several ways you can get them removed. I would start by disputing them, then maybe a goodwill letter. Start here: Basic Step by Step Beginner's Guide to Credit Repair
