I'm approaching graduation very soon and I'm getting a little nervous about my outstanding balance. Has any one else felt this way and that found out that It's not nearly as nerve-racking as you thought it would be?What is the best method of payment that you've discovered that makes things go by way faster? What works best for you and might work for me?Thanks! |

It's ok to feel a little scared. We've all been scared at some point in our lives but the trick is not to let it get the best of you.Anyway, try to pay a little more than the minimun amount required every month. In this way you can pay it off as soon as possible. I don't know if you have a subsidized or an unsubsudized loan but whatever you have, make sure that you pay it on time and if you're going to be late or can't make a payment for the month, call your loan officer. Good luck!

I have been paying on my Undergraduate loans for 9 years, my Graduate loans for 4 years and am now working on my Doctorate. To be honest with you, it just becomes another bill to pay. I set mine to pay automatically from my checking account each month so I don't even have to worry about it.It just takes getting used to watching X amount of dollars walk away at the end of each month... but one day... it will be all over! :-)Zac
