Default Student Loan without a co-signer and no credit history?

Is it possible to get a student loan without a co-signer and no credit history? If so, where can I get it?

Student loans are not credit based, so yes, you can.

Yup, if you haven't filled out your financial aid application already, start it now. http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/ There will be a question that asks you if you're interested in student loans, say yes obviously. If you've already filled out your fafsa you can still go back and make a correction. They are more than happy to give out loans, which are still considered financial aid for some reason. Good luck, and get it done quickly if you're doing it for the fall semester.

You can get a student loan. Lenders know that students don't have credit or a co-signer. Make sure you complete your financial aid information. This is how they determine what you need.Best wishes,
