You can continue in college but nobody will give you any kind of loan or credit for many years. That is a total last resort and not recommended.

If you file for bankrupt, depending on if its a chpt 7 or 13...one is worse than the other...you can always apply for loans, just expect to have extremely high rates...best then to do is talk with a Bankruptcy lawyer...most of them will talk with you for free and give you the facts.

Lots of people think that once they’ve filed for bankruptcy they will be unable to ever get a loan again, and ultimately they are unable to do anything financial ever again. This isn’t always true, there arewill help to improve your credit history in a number of different ways.

Stafford subsidized and unsubsidized are not credit based school loans....they are need based so you should still be able to qualify for those as long as you are still considered “needy”. The only thing that I could find about federal loans and bankruptcy is that even filing bankruptcy wont clear you of those loans unless by some flash of luck the judge decides that repayment would cause undue hardship which 9 times out of 10....they wont.I would say call the financial aid office of the school you wish to attend and ask as though you already have the bankruptcy...”Is it possible to still qualify for federal aid with a bankruptcy on my credit report” and go from there. They can tell you yes or no, but they cant tell you how much you would qualify for until you actually fill out a FAFSA.
