Default STAFFORD LOAN HELP.I was awarded stafford sub/un

loans. What's next? Do I fill out an application for this? I don't know if I have to go to staffordloans.com and fill out an application or what? Since I was awarded these through my school, is that the application process there? Or is there a whole other app. I have to do? Also, if I am a senior but never received loans before at this school but another school, do I have to wait the 30 days for my loans to process? Or is it just for freshmen?

Your school may send part of your application through so all you have to do is go online to electronically sign your promissory note. If you want to use a different lender, you will have to go through their site. Either way, you do need to sign a Master Promissory Note that is created by the Federal government. You may also need to complete loan counseling at your new school.By the way, I have never heard of staffordloans.com. Given all the issues with student loan lenders, you're better going directly to a bank's site or to somewhere like American Education Services or Myrichuncle.I do not know if the 30 day process applies to transfer students.
