Default Money for college!?

okay, im only a freshman but i plan to go to an art school in california(my mom doesnt know cause she would kill me(not really)). I am having problems planning money savings. The tuition will be about 81,000 for two years(that includes food, room and board, the whole package). Any ideas on how to get more money?

I financed my education using government and private loans. About $40,000 in loans and about $4,000 in pell grants. Talk to the school they will do what ever they can to get you in there including helping you with financial aid.

There are many websites out there devoted to scholarships. The one I have found the most uselful, and have actually received money from, is fastweb.com. You fill out all of your information, and they match you with scholarships that fit your criteria. It helps with the sorting process of which of the hundreds of thousands of scholarships out there you actually qualify for. Also contact the financial aid department at the art school. You will probably need to file your FASFA (Federal Application for Student Financial Aid) to qualify for anything through them. They should be able to provide you with scholarships (if you qualify) and student loans.
