Help! I called the law offices today to settle a judgement for $2000 cash within 30 days! They agreed over the phone. Should I get this in writing just in case something goes wrong? Also, I need help on what it should say on the agreement between us so we can both sign the papers for settling the judgement! I try looking on here but couldn't find info. on that? Should I ask to delete? The one that's reporting it to my CR is the city court house not the lawyer? |

If it is an actual judgment from the court where you served? If not try to get it vacated, If it is a court judgment the lawyer cannot remove it. Dont pay without something in writing. dont use a credit card, pay by check. If it is not an actual court judgment, tell them you will pay if the delete from CR. Get in writing!!

It's a recorded judgement from 2010. I'm going to settle in writing with the request to vacate the judgement in all. I know someone who is an attorney that will help me draft the letter for them!
