Default Tax lien

Hi Everyone! I'm new here and have overload since reading through all of this info! Here is what I have: We have 1 mark on our credit report we would like removed. It is a tax lien that was paid off immediately last year for $1600 (property taxes on a building). What do I need to do to get this removed? I already followed the "opt-out" and from that point on I'm confused! The county clerk was very nice and said she would have a letter of proof of payment for me to pick up but what do I send to the credit agencies? Thanks in advanced!
