Hi, I hope anyone out there can help me. I recently got a letter for a possible judgment for a debt owed to a credit card company of 1500. I'm worried about the only thing I own, my car. Can I transfer the title to my wife's name for the sake of a possible judgment against me to take my car in the future? I currently do not have a judgment against me, but a date to show up in court to dispute this issue in a month. Am I legally allowed to transfer the title of my car before a possible judgment could possibly occur against me? Please anyone out there help. Thanks.

They are not going to take your car. If anything, they will make it so you have to pay a certain amount every month depending on your income.
