Default Civil Claim Judgment

I am wanting to dispute a civil claim judgment on my husband's credit report. It is listed under public records. It gives the address and name of the courthouse. It also states the original creditor and the date it was filed. My husband did go to court on this and we were able to make payment arrangements with the lawyer's office. It gives the original amount of the judgement and states that it will remain on his report until 2014. Should I dispute with the CR first or follow the steps outlined about writing letters?

Yea, dispute it with the CRA (credit reporting agencies) first.
