I was successful in challenging a default judgment and getting it open. Can a CRA report an open judgment? |

I don't think they can report it until it is determined whether or not you owe the money. I mean, it's not really an open judgment, it's an open case. No judgment has been decided yet, right?

do whatever you can to avoid any kind of judgment. Most of the time if you work out payment arrangements with the creditor they will withdraw the judgment. If they do get a judgment it's possible that the collection and judgment will both be reported to the CRAs and it will not be easy to get them removed.
