i am curious. in step 1, making sure you opt out and delete/update old information.... why do you suggest to do this?

what kind of records to I need to request from the court?

they don't have any judgements related to a chapter 7...

Hi all - would like to know if it is worth it to try to get a recorded judgment removed.

Chain of events:

A few roommates and I broke a lease in college back in 2005. The prop mgt co sued us and obtained judgement for $3033. This ended up on the 3 of ours credit reports. I bought a house in 2007 and I had to pay the full amount off before doing so. I have recouped some of the money from them, but not all. Nevertheless..Inquired again because I am trying to get a loan and found out that I still owed $13 in court costs. I remitted it and they faxed a screenprint of their info.

Requested a printout from the court to get the data:

Filed 06/13/2005
Judgment entered 11/28/2005
Judgment satisfied Cost Due 08/01/2007
Court costs due $13 12/21/11
Judgment Satisfied No Cost Due 12/21/11


Is it worth it to try to get these things off my credit reports (derogatory item showing on all 3)? Or the 7 yrs will be up by 06/13/2012 if I got the SOL correct.

Should I dispute?
Please advise.



ALSO, how do you request old addresses/misspelled names be removed? I combed the site and could not find the method to do so.
