Trish -

What about a letter "Release of Judgement" from the creditor's law firm that declares the judgement fully paid and satisfied? Would your previous recommendations have an merit in getting the CRAs to remove from my report?

I sent numerous letters to the big 3 last year and was able to get Equiafax to remove it completely, but Trans Union and Experian only show it paid and satisfied. I supposed the "Release" doesn't mention anything about vacating the judgement which is why is stands?

The wording in the Release is as follows:

"XXXXXXXX, the legal owner and holder of the above described judement, in consideration of the payment of the judgment, interest, and costs, receipt of which is hereby acknowledge, hereby releases and discharges "Me" and declares the judgement fully paid and satisfied."

I've checked clerk records and the release is filed, but there is a record of the judement and release.

What you might try is get a copy of the court statement and send it to them. With a letter stating they must cease and desist reporting this as it has been satisfied and release by both the creditor and the court.I have other actions that can be taken in the future if need be.Thank you for correcting this error in reporting.

I have sent the letter to all 3 and Equifax was the only one to remove. The others merely show it satisfied. Maybe I should keep trying?

I'm confused Trish. I have a CC judgment from 2003 that have actually garnished my wages. Is this in fact a "recorded" judgment? I am kind of confused about that.
