Talking Saying Hello

Hi,
I just wanted to introduce myself. I'm new to this forum but not quite so new to credit repair.

About two years ago I decided to take the plunge and dive head first into repairing my horrible credit. I think I had maybe seen my CR once before.....I was too scared to look. I was not only very irresponsible with credit as a young adult but I also at one time had lost my job, had my car repo'd, got multiple COs and on top of that racked up a TON of medical bills.

When I first pulled my scores they were in the 400's (ouch!)
At that time I had 3 COs and 27 collection accts......and only 2 old closed CCs that somehow managed to be in good standing.......oh yeah.....and a judgment (yay...lol). I probably should have declared bankruptcy but I'm stubborn.
Needless to say I have had my work cut out for me. I am now down to 2 COs and 5 collection accts......and I'm still going. Last time I checked my score, I averaged in the low 600's. Not too bad.

Anyway....(trying to make a long story short here) I just wanted to give you guys some background to let you know where I'm coming from. I've been around the block a few times with credit........and I still have more to learn but I've found that along the way, I was able to help educate others as well......or at least point them in the right direction to find the answers.....and I enjoyed it.

So I'm here to do some work but I'm also here to help people if I can. I will let you know what my experiences have been and what I've learned so far.

In a big a$$ nutshell that's it.

Ugh at the BK. I know those are hard to remove. How old is it?

It's DEC 2007.Here's my thought, there's only 2 copies mine and the court. The lawyer shredded his.On the cra's there's no assists or liability's listed so i dispute that.when they correct that,i then dispute 3 wrong totals on my creditor's.Sch f.since i keep my bills i have the correct total's.The court won't contact the creditors because the case is closed and courts don't care

Interesting. Have you tried disputing at all yet?
I hope that works for you. I know BKs can really knock down your score.......and even worse they make it impossible to get good interest rates.

I haven't yet,I just got a Juniper card for 0.0% $600 limit,Wama for $1500 limit at 7.99% rate for good unless i screw up.So the cards are there but you have to choose, and not jump at the 23.99% just get one of those and pay it off quickly. But it's been hard the last 5 years,Were just not doing better.I'm on another forum which has helped me and along with this has done a lot to help me out.I tried credit boards.com but there's to many smart***s on it so i don't post there anymore.

Wow! Those are great interest rates! I'm jealous. My cards are not so great.......but I took what I could get just to get some positive TLs.

I have been on a couple other boards too. I still post at times. OMG CB......I know exactly what you mean. I ended up getting in more arguments over there than anything else. I mainly use it for reading/research because there is alot of good info.
