 e-mail spam identity theft? My wife is the victim of e-mail spam identity theft. The person who accessed her yahoo account has changed her password and we are unable to access it or cancel it. They are soliciting money from friends and family and have acquired all her account information. What can we do?  |

| Prayer, if that's your thing, plus certainly contact yahoo, and lock the account Review what may be contained in the email stored in the account, ie online bills, paypal purchases, etc Contact appropriate companies and advise them of your situation Sorry, having been through this mess, I have to say it is not a fun road ahead for you on this |

| Unfortunately, Yahoo's customer support is not so great for free services they provide. Hopefully you can get a hold of a real person that will sympathize with your situation and help you out. I would start a new email address and contact your friends and family immediately to apologize. Sorry to hear that this happened to you.
