Default Mortgages and Loans Are they registered brokers?

Now a days there are so many people advertising in local papers and bussinesses , that is telling people that they can borrow money regardless of their credit history and income. Most of them charge hefty fee. In actual most of them have no knowledge of financing and are not even registerd. We don't even know about their background. they may have crimnal reords. What do you think ,what kind of steps should be taken to avoid these fly by night people doing this bissiness.Don't you think its a good idea, that all the lenders are registered and their names be available online . Do you think you can spread the word.

There should be a federal requirement that ANY lender's advertisement list their licensing/registration information. This would allow potential clients to check them out.
