Default Does anyone know of a lender in Tennessee...

...who specializes in mortgages for people with a FICO score under 500? TransUnion, Experian, and Equifax all have the name of my husband's ex-wife listed on his credit report under "other name" which is why all of her car repossessions, unpaid bills, etc. are appearing on my husband's credit report. We are disputing the personal information as well as the items on his credit report that belong to my husband's ex-wife, but in the meantime, we would like to find a lender to give us a hard-money mortgage before the home of our dreams that we would like to buy is sold to someone else.

I would try to contact a well known mortgage broker in your area and explain your situation to them. They will be able to let you know within a matter of hours if there are any lenders that handle that type of loan. You may have to have a substantial amount to put down. If you are working with a realtor he/she may be able to drag their feet long enough for your husband's credit to get fixed. Don't give up if this house is that important to you. Check some of the other ?'s and answers on this to get some advice. Some websites listed in some answers that may be able to help you as well. Good luck!!!
