If you have disputed let the process go through,i would try to see if the oc will remove.the special fonts are so they can't scan but have to hand read. The ca can remove it,the problem is they have a contract with the cra's which states they can't but they can.All they have to do is not respond to a dispute then its removed, tell them that.

I am brand new to the board. I had excellent credit. We are refinancing. I have 2 paid medical bills from 5/07 on my report. I had no idea. I had been in constant communication with the OC, CA and insurance company before paying the bills. They should have never been reported. I just found this website. I don't know if I have already screwed up the HIPAA process.
CREDCO provided a CR to our lender. I told CREDCO I want to dispute. I contacted the CA and they refused to remove it because of their "guidelines" not because they don't feel that it should be removed.
So, now I find all these websites about HIPAA. I pulled my free "federal" Experian credit report last night. The 2 accounts in question list the CA. It also shows them as medical and paid. It does list the OC (my hospital) plus other info. It already shows that the accounts are being investigated.
Has the relationship with OC and CA already been established? Do I start with the Dispute letter anyway? Why the special fonts?
