Seeking Advice on Website I created

Hi, I am new to this forum and enjoy reading all the posts that have been provided. I am in debt due to a home based business that I started w/ Herbalife International. I had 10 credit cards that I used to fund the business and have gotten all but 2 settled. I am not trying to get out of paying the debt because after all I created it but I am desperately trying to get out of debt period! I heard on a talk show once that a young woman was in debt for several thousands of dollars just from buying clothing. She set up a website and several people sent her amounts to where she finally was able to pay off all her credit. I set up a website similar to this telling people my story and asking for help. I am here seeking advice on what I could change on my website to give it more clarity, how to advertise it, and to see if anyone else ever did something like this before. I would appreciate any input that you have to offer on this matter. thanks for reading.

You're taking the wrong approach.

First of all, I don't think it would work...especially in this economy. Second, it's irresponsible to ask others to fix your problems. It's your debt and you are responsible for paying it back. Pay it off yourself and take pride in it.

Then, learn more about business and try again. Never give up. Lose the mentality that others should fix your problems because you will get no where thinking like that. If you want to be successful with anything in life, you gotta get rid of that kind of thinking. Once you do, you will attract success in your life.

I would also suggest avoiding network marketing/MLM type businesses.

By the way, which talk show did you hear that on? Have you heard of Dave Ramsey?

I can't imagine asking people for help?? That is odd and I think darn right wrong. sorry.

NOW starting your own web-site and selling items, etc. made by you or offering your services is a different story. Or why not try and sell on ebay, craigslist or try and get a loan to consolidate and pay off your obligations. You are responsible for them.

This forum isn't about hand outs - it's about fixing errors on credit reports that are not entirely accurate.

So, if you're credit is horrible, try and EARN money and start paying off debt, send a goodwill letter on some of the creditors or cards reporting or negotiate to help your credit situation.

Or get a bunch of bottles an put them in stores,hold a sign on the freeway ramp.
