Question about 0 Balance

Okay so I have about 8 things on my credit report that are hurting my credit. The thing is that I have 0 balance on all of them because I paid them because I knew that I owed them the money. one of them was actually a settlement and was paid off less then the amount due but legally paid. The problem I am having is I am wanting to buy a house when i get back to the states. Currently stationed overseas because I'm military. I go back to states in 6 months. How can I go about getting these off my credit report? I have done a goodwill letter and they won't remove the negative information right now. I really have no leg to stand on as far as the negativity since I don't owe them money I can't do a PFD. Please help me if you have dealt with this or have any options I can try. All suggestions welcome. By the way just to note that since starting this process almost 4 months ago my credit score has gone from 515 to 585 so thank you for the great information.

Unfortunately, since they all appear legit, continuing to send GW letters is about it.

The problem with GW letters is that many creditors and debt collectors have a policy of not deleting based on payment. That policy stems from the written policy of the CRAs that deletions should not be made based on payment of the debt.

To get exceptions, it is often necessary to get a letter to the desk of a management official who has the authority to grant exceptions. Low-level clerks don't have such authority.

I suggest trying to obtain some contact addresses for management officials, and appealing directly to them. If your military service was in any way a contributing factor in late payments, I would not hesitate to use that in your GW requests.

Second this, I've heard about people having good success with this method.
