Do Cell Phone & Cable Companies Report?

Do cell phone and cable companies report to CRAs? I believe that i should get a good credit report from both my cable and my cell company as i always pay on time and have since i have had these accounts. I am trying to build my credit and i believe that these 2 should report my excellent responsibility to help me build my credit rating

These companies usually only report if you owe a past due balance.

no. They don't report to th agencies unless is bad.some companies give you a credit letter to show to like a bank if you are asking for a loan. etc. but not all the companies do that. i got letters from the phone company and the power company, but i couldn't get it from the cell phone

When i signed up with verizon, they checked my credit for me to open an account with them, since i didnt have any credit, i had to give them a deposit. But the cell phone account or cable doesnt go into your credit report unless you stop paying and you get sent to collections. It's a bad catch 22... if you have bad credit, they reject you, once you have good credit, they dont report it.... total bummer!

Utilities, phone, and cable companies only report to the credit bureau if you DON'T pay them and they have to charge you off.If you're making payments in full and on time, they don't report it. They do nothing to improve credit.
