Default Raising my score

Hi everyone my name is Nick, I am 22 yrs old and made some mistakes in the past. I recently appllied for a mortgage and was rejected. My score is 520 . I have two major problems on my credit report one is a credit card. The max spending limit was 300. i let it go and was sued for 450 and now my report says i owe 860 an also says profit lose. My other one is a Mac credit card bilol for 700 that went to collections the rest are medical. i plan to pay all them off within a month. My questions are: When i pay them off how fast will my credit rebound and should i try to negotiate to a lower pay-off? P.S i do have two loans out that are current an have never been a day late.

Prior to paying a dime get all three credit reports from their respective sources.

Go over them with a fine toothed comb and make a list of all negative items, who they're from and which credit bureaus do they show up on. Once you have that, contact each individual creditor that you owe and get a PFD "pay for delete" agreement, IN WRITING, before you give them a dime. Tell them you will pay the full amount if they promise to remove the derogatory report from your file and whichever credit reporting agency they report to. The important thing is that you don't pay anything until you have the agreement in your hands.

As soon as you do, pay off the amounts owed and make sure they follow through with the removal of the negatives.
Settling for less than what you owe does make a difference and ethically is the wrong thing to do (in my opinion.)

Good luck.
