Hello, I was wondering if there is a process by which I can get my mortgage reported on my credit. My mortgage company is a local, small savings and loan bank that does not report to any credit bureau. My problem is that although I dont have bad credit (equifax score of 668 - not strong but not too horrible) I dont have any high credit shown. I have had my mortgage for over 6 years now with never a late payment, and could certainly bolster my credit score if it was reported. I want to take advantage of the lower interest rates, but can not get approval for a mortgage with another company. THanks in advance for your time and help |

I dont know the answer to your question, but whats your Trans and Experian scores?Your EQ score should be high enough to refinance & lock into those lower rates.

In order to report to a CRA, the furnisher must enter into a reporting agreement with each CRA to which they wish to report. That involves a CRA screening of the applicant. They have size requirements, and additionally require use of their Metro 2 automated reporting system, which requires knowledge of their reporting codes and formats. The CRAs charge for their services. Many smaller creditors dont have enough volume or dont want to bear the expense. Reporting to any CRA is not compulsory. If your creditor currently does no CRA reporting, they cant just send something in. |
