I previously was successful in deleting two negative tradelines from two cra's. I negotiated with the creditor and got the accounts adjusted. Is there a letter out here to get those tradelines put back on the report? Will there be a problem since I got them deleted before? |

That is a common mistake made when asking for GW deletion, either after payment of the debt, or by way of a PFD offer. If the deletion of the derogatory items will return the account to good-standing, the account becomes an asset in your CR. Many ask for account deletion rather than simply the deletion of the derogatory reporting, causing a loss of the age of the account in their average age of accounts calculation. Once a furnisher has deleted, it has been my experience that they will require you to re-apply in order to re-establish an account. They most likely deleted to forgo any need to further monitor or report on the account, and probably don't want to resurrect possible issues. I would suggest that you contact them, and if they require re-application, ask them if they would be willing to establish the new account with the same opening date as that of the prior account. |

But shouldn't I be able to write a letter to the bureaus to inform them of an account of mine that they are not reporting. Complete with the details, more importantly the dates and ages of the accounts. I emailed the rep that helped me remove the 30 day late asking him to do the same magic. No response yet. |

I am not sure what you are asking. If the creditor has reported an account deletion, the CRA simply enters it. If a credtior does not report an account addition, the CRA cannot add it on their own. |

From what I can tell, when an item is deleted it is deleted. Bad and good gone forever. Thus why you should negotiate for return to good standing and then use a negotiation for delete as a backup. However you can reestablish credit by reapplying. If an item is not reported to the bureaus, call the creditor and see if they do report and you simply fell through the cracks (that is if you want it reported). If they don't report the credit card at all, then you have to decide if you should keep it or get rid of it. The benefit to keeping is that it is a credit line that is not reported, no one knows about it and therefore it can't count as too much credit. The bad of course is that it doesn't help your score or anything. Credit bureaus will not let you, yourself, add items to your credit report. It would be considered inflation of your credit worthiness or similar and declined. It has to be reported by the creditor. Who was this magic rep that helped you before? Did you hire a repair company? |
