Default how to improve your score

Hello all..I just wanted to ask another question.

I have read some some posts and I will order a CR soon so we can actually see what's on the report..and I will also be trying the good-will letters. So here's my question:

If you do need to raise your score/FICO how can you go about doing so if you can't get regular CC or a loan?

Now I may be wrong but let's just say even if the good will letters work on some cases you still need to have a regular and steady payment schedules and I get that, but again just wondering how you could go about getting open accounts to show that you are credit worthy again?

Thank you in advance to anyone that replies. I am learning new things on here every day that I didn't know, so a big kuddos to all of you for helping everyone out.

The underlying maxim of credit scoring is that FICO scores the derogs and delinquencies reported to your credit file, and not the subsequent payment or non-payment of the delinquent debt that resulted in that reporting. So credit score improvement requires actual deletion of the reporting of those adverse items of information.

They die of their own old age after the 7, 7 1/2 year, etc., pertinent CR exclusion periods set forth in section 605(a). To get earlier removal, you must get the reporting deleted.

There are three basis ways to do this. First, if the debt is still unpaid, you can offer what is called a pay for delete (PFD) to the creditor, offering payment in exchange for their earlier deletion. If they decline a PFD offer, or if the debt has already been paid, you have two remaining options. You can dispute the accuracy of the reported information, or you can ask for their good-will deletion.

Review the derogs in your CR, and determine whether they are legitimate. If not, then you can dispute their accuracy. If their accuracy cannot be disputed, then you are left with asking the reporting party for earlier deletion based on their good-will. Drafting a good-will letter is kinda an art, offering some reason to persuade them to delete. It is helpful to include any reasons why such good-will would also be beneficial to them.
