Does Score Sense use FICO scores or does it have to be purchased from a FICO website? I read their T&C and all i could find about FICO was that their score simulator is not an actual FICO number.

FICO scores are only available from a licensee of Fair Isaac, and are not FICO scores unless they bear the FICO(R) moniker. The source you mentioned is not. Currently, FICO scores are accessible directly by consumers, with only one exception, from the myFICO web site. And those scores only include scoring based on your TU and EQ credit files. EX withdrew from myFICO participation a couple of years ago, so you cant get EX-based FICO scores even on myFICO. There is a credit union in PA called PSECU that is the only source I know of available to consumers for obtaining EX-based FICO scores. |
