Default Pulled Fico Scores

My wife and I just pulled her CR with myfico. Its shows her to have a 635 with trans union & a 632 with Equifax. We also did a free 10 day trial with Trans union and her fako score there was a 630, lower than her true fico score.Does that sound right? So anyways here is my question, to dispute a few things thats on her report that are not hers(like a charge from 1999 and she was not even a US citzen then, she is Canadian and still lived there untill 2001)do we have to pay another $20 with both transunion & exuifax? We tried to file dispute with trans union through truecredit but it keeps saying she has to call them and wont let her go to the dispute page.So i tried with equifax and it wants a 10 digit conformation #.Will the one i got from myfico work?I sure dont want to fork out another $40 after just paying my fico that.Sorry im so confused with all of this.

Filing disputes are free.

Transunion sucks to do disputes with. I recommend calling them like the number says or filling out the online dispute form. You will need to input all the answers to each question and use the code provided to you on the credit report.

You can call equifax or dispute online using the 10 digit number they gave you. Filing a dispute online with equifax is very easy.

Don't bother with the score that Truecredit through transunion gives you. This is called a "FAKO" score and more often than not is not accurate. Mine if off by about 60 points from my true FICO score. The score you got from myfico is the correct and accurate and the one lenders use.

You can file unlimited disputes based off of the credit reports you obtained from equifax and transunion via myfico just use the credit report number that comes with it.

Again, I recommend disputing via phone with Transunion and disputing online with equifax.

At some point you're going to want to tackle experian credit score also. you can obtain access to a general experian credit report through quizzle

Thanks Hal
I may just file through the mail with transunion, since my wife would probbaly have to talk to them?I have alot more time than she does.We did file with Equfax online was pretty simple.Looked at her experian and her fako score there is 580.There reportng an account we had in good staninds, and was paid off.Its an applied credit card that high highe rates & Trans and Equfax are both reporting it in good staninds.

Hal thanks for all your help, its very much appreciated

Cheers
Justin
