Hi everyone, I got a letter from my credit union saying my account was being closed. It also said: "Your account will be reported to the Equifax Check Systems reflecting any nonsufficient funds accumulation or fees involved." (*Note - the letter definitely said Equifax Check Systems NOT Chexsystems) Does this mean it will show up on my actual Equifax credit report or it will show up on another report like Chexsystems or Telecheck? Thank you for taking the time to read this. I really appreciate any responses! |

It depends upon whether the party has a reporting agreement with a CRA, and whether they decide to actually report it. Does your CU have a reporting agreement with a CRA? If the account is not currently showing in your CR, chances are that the CU does not report to a CRA. |
