OK, so the new law extending the SOL to 6 years was signed after my accounts were out of the SOL of (3) years. How will that play out I wonder? Will any debts that the SOL was already past be barred from the new provision? Guess I better answer those settlement letters...lol Fly |

I am not aware of a new SOL statute for AZ, but as a general construct of law, statutes don't apply retroactively to prior events for which statutory provisions have been fulfilled. I don't see how you could be outside the old statute for debt obligation, and then be brought back under it retroactively.

That's what I had figured. The verbiage say's "extend" the SOL to 6 years I believe... I have not seen the law yet, only read about it. Fly |
