Got denied for a secured credit card

Hi im very new to these forums and well you can say recently ive learned the HUGE importance of having good credit.

MY current dilemma is that I have not horrible credit but pretty much all bad and no credit. And I am getting denied for every credit card, and even secured credit cards. Yes even secured credit cards.

Does anyone have any advice on any credit cards that I can get with this horrible kind of credit. I don't care if I pay out of the ass. Its a short cost to my long term goals.

I just recently opened 2 secured cd loans to just start having something positive on my account.

Have you tried Orchard? I believe they approve everyone. Capital one also offers a secured card. Vision Premier is another one that should approve you.

Thanks I just applied for the chase secured card and says I got approved as long as I sent them the payment. According the site I should be getting the card by July 29th. I really hope it works!

Yeah I would shop around for other secured credit cards, I'm currently in the process of repairing my credit and it's a little below average but I got accepted for a Bank of America secured credit cards.

I was able to get two secured cards from Public Savings Bank. I was denied other secure cards because I am in chexsys.

Get one from Public Savings Bank. They do not do credit checks at all. Plus they don't charge APR on balances. Why would you want to pay interest for using your own money (Its a secured card after all).

They only have a flat monthly service fee, no application or "One time" charges.

I think they have the best deal for secured cards.

I just got two in the last few months. They have a $50 annual fee but no other fees. I have to agree they are the best deal for folks with very bad credit.

You can usually get more personal consideration through a credit union.
Are you a member of a credit union, or have eligibility to join one?
