Default These guys only charge you for deleted items...

So there is an attorney here in Phoenix that charges $500.00 per negative item removed. I have always thought that a "good" credit repair guy could make big $$$ by setting up an escrow account and having clients release funds as items are deleted.

So I just did a google search and found these guys:

bcrconsulting.us

Has anyone used them? They charge $39 for the consult and $35 per negative item removed.

Not bad if they are good and don't screw up your chances of future removal...

No... if they do good work those aren't bad prices at all.

Not sure why you'd need to go through the trouble of setting up an escrow account. Why they couldn't just bill you for each round of removals they complete via credit/debit cards.

Before entering into any agreement to pay for deletions, I would ask what type of information are you asking them to attempt to secure deletion?

Is it accurately reported information? If so, they usually involve PFD offers prior to payment, or GW letters after payment. Those are easy, because all the facts must come from you, and you can do them just as easily, if not better, on your own.

That is probably all that the "low fee" deletion dudes are offering.

If the actions are directed at information that you assert to be inaccurately reported, then you are talking about the filing of disputes. It looks as though the organization/party you are referring to is classified as a "credit repair organization." Under FCRA 623(a)(8)(G), credit repair organizations are excluded from filing direct disputes on behalf of a consumer. So they are more limited than you are in pursuing disputes with the creditor.

I don't know what they would be addressing, or what means they are entitled to use. I would be skeptical.
