Default Lexington Law vs. Sky Blue Credit

Thanks for what you guys do here, Chane. I am a vbulletin community operator myself (a couple of them actually) who also writes all custom coding and designs for them as well as providing content so I know the work that goes on behind the scenes. If there is anything I could ever assist with, let me know. I'd be happy to show you a few of my properties if your interested.

On a related note, I too have not been thrilled with the response time of LexLaw, but am sticking it out with them for now. I have only been with them long enough to get 50% through the first set of disputes. Oddly, they have only filed 3 for each CRA although I have a total of 22 negative items. I just emailed to ask them when the next batch would be processed and will anxiously await their reply (in about 48 hours LOL).

To compare, I just signed my wife up with Sky Blue. Initial communications with them were very timely and were a human response compared to the canned replies from LL. It'll be neat to do a side by side comparison of service, speed and ability to clean up credit.

My daily update 3-17-2011

LexLaw
Emailed LexLaw last evening. My inquiry was regarding the number of disputes they have sent. Their case valet allows you to pick the top 5 items you wish to dispute, yet there have only been 3 actions takes per CRA. I emailed to ask if they only do 3 per CRA at a time and if so, how long before the next batch was sent. 24 hours later, no response.

Sky Blue
Last evening I signed my wife up for Sky Blue and emailed them the tri-merged reports along with scans of her DL and SS Card. At 9:30am this morning there was, what appears to be, an automated email welcoming her. At 3:10pm we received an email from Travis who let us know that the tri-merged report was received as well as the ID. He let me know that everything was good for them and that they would begin reviewing her report to develop the action plan; I can expect a response in 4-5 days after the initial review.

For today, Sky Blue's service was faster and provided me with the details I needed.

I am still awaiting a response from LexLaw. Approaching 48 hours with no response to my email inquiry.

I asked SkyBlue a question via email regarding personal information and "opting-out". Surprisingly, after almost 24 hours, I have not received a response from them either.

So today is a bust on receiving information from either company. LOL

48 hours almost to the minute, I received a response from LexLaw to my inquiry and it actually seemed that someone put thought into my email.

Received 2 emails since my last post.

LexLaw emailed me on 3-18-2011 at 10:30pm to let me know they had sent dispute letters to EX. The funny thing here is that those letters were sent on 3-13-2011 per my Case Valet.

SkyBlue emailed a reply to my question and apologized for being late on their response.

Much more satisfied with Sky Blues communication at this point.

Have our phone conversation with Sky Blue scheduled for tomorrow. Looking forward to hearing their recommendations.

Nothing waiting with LexLaw, just for my first set of dispute responses to come back. Hoping for a deletion of 2 with the first set.

Had a wonderful call today with SkyBlue. They were very knowledgeable, reviewed the items most concerning and let us know their plan of attack. One notable difference is they will dispute 15 items per month (5 per CRA) and LexLaw only does 9 items per month (3 per CRA). That would suggest that SkyBlue would be cheaper in the long run as fewer months are required to clean your report if all were removed with the first dispute.

The rep stated they had already found discrepancies on some tradelines and should be able to get them removed. That's decent service right there.

LexLaw is still very slow with responses. My latest inquiry was sent last week and I received a reply last night... On a good note, my first negative item was removed thanks to Lex; a negative public record.

SkyBlue is still beating their socks off with service...
