I've got a question about a few medical bills on my CR. I've got 8 collections against me on my CR but only from 2 different CA. The first CA and the items are as follows: DOS 6/24/2006 $39- had no insurance but not showing up on CR. PFD? DOS 6/2/08 $143- had insurance but they did not pay claim due to asking for more information from me. Never got this information because at the time my husband and I were seperated. What can I do? PFD? DOS 10/21/08 $390-recently tried to file claim with insurance but was denied due to timely filing. I'm pretty sure I can get this deleted since this was not my fault. DOS 10/21/08 $30- this is my copay that i forgot to pay. PFD? not showing on CR DOS 4/10/09 $54- again I had insurance at the time. They once again tried to file the claim in January and due to untimely filing thee insurance will not pay. Delete? DOS 9/15/10 $30- this is my copay that I again forgot to pay. PFD? not showing on CR The other company's items are as follows: DOS 8/28/08 $64 Insurance did not pay because they wanted to know about pre-existing information. Never got this due to seperation with my husband. My husband was the suscriber. PFD? DOS 4/20/08 $162 Insurance did not pay because they wanted to know about pre-existing information. Never got this due to seperation with my husband. My husband was the suscriber. PFD? Please help!! Last edited by vmoore0607; 03-16-2011 at 07:27 PM. The hospital wrote this off as a bad debt and sold it to the collection agency. I would try to contact the hospital and try to work with them on it. If that doesn't work I would send letters for just one of the items to dispute it and say that it shouldn't have gone to collections and see what their response is. I mean if you only dispute one they can't throw it out for being frivolous. PFDs with the collection agencies might be the way to go if all that doesn't work. Also you can go with some sort of debt validation with the CA. Make them prove that they have the right documentation to file a negative item against your credit. They probably don't have the paperwork anyway. |
