Default Bad Credit on File

Hello,

I was listed in 2008 by JCPenny and Kohls.
I cleared the debt in 2009.
Now when I apply for CC or loan, they are rejected.

How do I get rid of the bad credit on file.

Thanks,
Kusuma

Assuming that you paid the debt without dispute of the accuracy of any information they reported, the only remedy left now would be to request good-will deletion of the derogatory items remaining in your CR.
Try, as best you can, in your GW letter to emphasive the benefits to them of granting CR deletion of the derogs. Dont rely solely on the benefits to you.
They are capitalists, not social humanitarians!

Send it to the creditor who reported the delinquency to the CRA.
CRAs are not a party to private matters between credtiors and consumers.
