Default GW Letter at same time as dispute?

I have a series of late payments on my CR that are seriously impacting my score. These late payments are due to my enrollment in a DMP. While the DMP negotiated with the creditors to establish an appropriate amount of payment, the OCs were not receiving the full minimum payments.

This happened in July, 2009. All accounts are paid current each month now. BofA reported me late for 30 days for 3 months. Citi reported me late for 30 days for 3 months, then 60 days late for 2 months, then 90 days late for 2 months, then 120 days late for 2 months!

What is the best approach to get these lates removed? I have already filed disputes with the CRAs on all of these accounts. Should I wait to send the GW letter until AFTER I hear back, or should I go ahead and send the GW letters out in the meantime? I want to be as pro-active as possible here.

Thanks for the advice!

A tough one! You apparently relied on your agent to pay, and they did not follow through. I would only speculate that the creditor wont care much why you were late, only that you were late.
What was your grounds for dispute? Apparently, the reporting by the creditors was accurate?
Being such a sticky scenario, the last thing I would recommend is disputing through a CRA. They will turn a murky situation into mush. I would suggest disptuing directly with the creditors under FCRA 623(a)(8). That will at least assure that all of your comments and information get to them, without e-Oscar sanitation.
As for GW letters, they are appropriate once the debt is paid. I would not GW them at this time.
