| I am having trouble understanding exactly what they are getting at. Did I not give good reason to dispute certain items? Are they investigating my dispute? I disputed numerous items together on a handwritten letter. Should I dispute everything again at this point?I have not received any validation back from CA's as of now. I received this from Experian today. It was dated 2/21/11 and they received my dispute around the 10th. This is what the left side of the page says. "We are responding to the information you sent us. Upon careful review of your information, we determined that we were not able to use it. We are contacting the source of the information you questioned. When we complete our investigation process, which may take up to 30 days or up to 45 days for an investigation of information in an annual free credit report, we will send you the results." Right Side of page: "When you question information on your personal credit report and tell us specifically why you believe the information is inaccurate or incomplete, we transmit your dispute to the source of the information or to the third party vendor who collected the information from a public record source. We ask the source or the vendor to conduct a thorough and complete investigation to verify all information regarding the item you questioned, and report back within 30 days of the date we received your request. We review the response to determine whether to accept it, reject it, or follow up for additional information. If we do not receive a response from the source or the vendor within the required investigation period, we will update the item as you have requested or delete the information, and send you the results. In some instances, upon reviewing your credit file and any relevant information you submitted to us, we are able to determine whether the disputed information should be changed or deleted without having to contact the source or the vendor. Once we have concluded our investigation, we will send you the results. In addition to your right to dispute information in your credit file with the credit reporting agencies, you also have the right to dispute information in your credit report directly with the source of the information. If you question the results of our investigation, then you may want to contact the source of the information directly or review the original information in the public record. Please refer to your original personal credit report for the source business or public records office name, address, and phone number (if available)." |

What was the reason for your dispute? Did you just ask them to delete everything? I think they are explaining that they have to investigate everything before any action is taken. Wait until the 30 to 45 days for the updated report and see what stays and what goes.

I didn't give reasons for my disputes. I also forgot to include a copy of my DL and SS card and I received a letter from equifax asking for them. I sent copies to all CRA's. Next week will be 30 days from when I validated a few accounts. I'm hoping that no news is good news at this point.
