facts about me to help u figure my setup at,i rent 2 bedroom apt,$0 in debut.

----------------

since 2008 amex clear card with $5k limit ($0 balance) and it pays 3 of my bills per month then gets paid in full by my debit card(simple and reports to bureaus).

microcenter card with $500 limit and keep a $20 balance on it to report.

heres the 2 things i wanna do and im questioning my efforts are worth it or not.....

should i get another $1,000 secured cd loan going on right along parrel with the other $1,000 cd secured i just got?...basically is it worth it to run 2 secured cd loans at 12months $1,000 each vs single loan. would the scores go up slightly with 2 loans out vs 1?....ALSO is it worth it geting another regular pre approved mastercard, visa,or diff version of amex true credit cardS OR get like a $1,000 secured credit card to help scores EVEN MORE...?i want to scream my scores up by 2012....any ideas or input helps me alot...thanks.needing if overkill is needed or great if can be afforded which i can now.

I WANT MAX SCORE....AND HAVE ANOTHER $2K TO INVEST WERE bureus see this...sorry caps

even if i just do what im doing i think by 2012 it will be up too close to 780 range.but i want assured more, now!

Alright, I'll give it a shot...
In my opinion a secured card will not really help. If you want to boost your scores, you need alot more than a $1000 dollar secured card. You need to some how get a 10,000 card with a zero balance. With mid 700's that should be pretty easy.

When FICO makes your score they look at many different things. They want different types of credit. Another secured CD will not help much you already have 2. You need to get a mortgage to really boost your scores.

FICO also looks at the lenght of time you have had credit. That one you can't really "fix". That one is going to take time.

So, work on those two things, $10,000 Credit Card and a mortgage, and you should join the 800 club in no time.

"you need alot more than a $1000 dollar secured card"

was only a option to diversfy.and still think this a good valid option.

"FICO also looks at the lenght of time you have had credit. That one you can't really "fix". That one is going to take time."

had amex act since 2008 $5,000 limit $0 balance and this card has been to $2,500 range at times(not good i know this)....now keeping below %10 at all times.

"Another secured CD will not help much you already have 2."

wrong i had 1 last year paid off period.and started another 1 last week.meaning i only have 1 secured CD loan now currently.im thinking if i started another one it wont hurt at all.may raise scores a lil higher?(read my post lil better)

mortgage is not option for 2 reasons,i asked to be laid off by my union.and obma passed the law to extend it.no mrtage on unemployment as income.also even if i was on the books again.i would NOT get a mortage with a scores no less the 760...best rates.

ty very much for your advice.im really baffled as your the only one who responded.again ty.
