I had a mortgage with BoA that had about six 30 day lates reported couple of years back. I sold the house last month (finally!) and tried to pull up the tax forms online, but found online access to the account was closed. Called to get them, but was told I was best waiting for the automatic mailing next month as the account would be hard to access as it's now closed. I'm wondering if this would be a good time to contest those late payments - equally hard to verify it? As I can only contest one account every 30 days I really want to hit the ones with the biggest chance of coming off. Anyone have any experience with BoA mortgages? |

I had two mortgage loans through BOA. I had maybe three 30 day lates that I disputed online and through BOA. I had good success and had them all deleted. I believe I also called BOA and disputed them over the phone. I believe that BOA removed a few for a fairly valid reason, and that the remaining two or three 30 day lates were removed via TU, EXP, and EQ disputes. Good luck.

Thanks for the info. I'm writing up a dispute letter now that I'll fax over 1st thing in the morning. Fingers crossed!
