Default 623 dispute or 1,2 punch on OC?

Hi,

I have been on another major credit repair forum for over 2 years off and on. I have recently gotten back on the credit repair path after getting sidetracked for some time. I have asked a few questions on there as of late and it seems as if they have gotten a bit big and forgot what makes these forums- successful members giving back. Here is my question...

As far as attacking a OC baddie, I will use my Cap One for an example. If the reporting info varies between CRA's like charge off dates, balances etc. Should I dispute each discrepency with the OC (Cap One) via a 623 and ask them to prove the info- or should I do the 1-2 punch first?

Thanks, I am looking forward to making great strides (I actually dont have far to go and have a few positives like a new car and new secured card) with the help of others

You have to dispute with the CRAs, before doing a 623 dispute, so I would go with the 1,2 punch first. If that doesn't work, try the 623 dispute.
