Default Need to Remove CitiBank Student Loans

Here is the situation.

I have 7 Citibank N.A. deragatory accounts back from 2006 on my credit report from Experian.

They were transferred to NYS Higher Education and Rehabbed so, they are listed as "PAYED CHARGE OFF" with balances, but 0 for payment due.

They were already verified back in April of 2010, when I did an online dispute. They have information in the history the month it was 30- days late, 60 days late, ect...

I have just called up CitiBank N.A. from the number provided on the credit report yesterday, and talked to 2 different customer reps, and both said they had no info on these account other than they were sold in 2007. (They have no info on when they went deragatory, balances ect...)

What is my next step?

Anyone have any advice? I was thinking of sending a letter Experian disputing the original charge off and deragatory date.

Dispute letters to Credit Bureaus specifically stating that you are disputing the late payments, and the status.

So I should send out a letter to Experian stating that I am disputing the late payments?

If they can not verify the late payments they have to remove and delete the chargeoffs right?

You got it Toyota! The CRA's code everything into a system called EOSCAR that converts your letter and dispute reason to a 3 digit code. So find as many issues with the credit report and the way it is reporting and continue disputing them two at a time until one works.

So I am sending 1 leter for all 7 chargeoffs?

Also, I am disputing the payments and staus? How do I word that? "I was never late and the status of the account is incorrect"?, or " I was never late and the open date in incorrect"

My company creates a header that is a typical letter header, then one short intro paragraph, then a section of Debt-account number-reason for dispute. I like to Bold this section and make it easy to read. This is where they will go to code the dispute. I would try not to repeat the same reason over and over if you can help it. For Example

Debt- Account #- I was not late during the months that report.
Debt2- Account- The Status of this account is incorrect
Debt3- account- The open date is incorrect. I did not open this account during this month

Why can't I use one or 2 disputes for all? They are all the loans from CitiBank N.A. that were opened around the same time.

I want them all deleted, that is my goal. They were already deleted from Equifax and Transunion.

I already know CitiBank has no info on these accounts other than my personal info and that they were sold to guarantor in 2007.

The fall of date of all of them according to Experian is 10/2012. I do not feel like waiting 2 years. They are my only negatives on my report, besides one 30 dollar medical.

You can, the CRA's are very sensitive to the same dispute reasons on mulitple accounts. If that is the case then by all means be honest and go that route, if there are multiple mis reportings then try to switch a few of them up
