Default Collection account

One of my credit accounts was sent to collections. If I pay the amount in full, will this item be automatically deleted from my credit report or do I need to first send a Pay for Delete letter before sending payment? Please advise and thanks in advance.

You will need to send a PFD letter first. Paid accounts don't get deleted. In fact, it would stay on 7 more years from the date it was paid and it will be negative.
