Default Anyone have luck with Bank Of America-Pay for Delete?

I'm really upset with BofA. We went late (stupid paperless statements!). At the time, I couldn't pay the late and what was due.
Told the guy on the phone, he set up payments to get us back right.
Did automatic payments for 6 months.
Got a letter to set up payments again.
Called in to set up payments.
Set up payments.
Get a letter yesterday that we are in collections and have a charge off (first one ever!).
Turns out guy #1 just set up regular payments, not "program" payments like he told me. (told, sorry, nothing we can do)
And lady who set up payments, set them up ONE DAY late, and put in the wrong payment amount! And the guy today asks me, "Well, could you have paid the minumum anyway?" I was livid...
So, guess what... Now I have a charge off on CR and not sure what to do.
The balance is low - $755!
Should I do a pay for delete letter?

It's worth a try, but I doubt a big bank like BOA will accept it. I would just keep writing letters and calling them until they make things right.

As in letters, do you mean a PFD?
If it's "charged off" will it go to a CA soon? If so, will they be easier to work with?

No, I mean just regular letters directly to them explaining their mistake and how they need to correct it.

Yes, it will probably go to a CA soon. No, they are definitely not easier to deal with. Take are of it before it goes to a CA.
