Hey everyone, I'm new to the forum and would love some input on the best tactics to use for repairing my credit. My scores are EF:524, TU:561, EP:540 I have 9 Medical bills (each less than $400) from Winter 2006 that are in collections I also have 4 speeding tickets from DC. I tried to dispute these with the DC gov, but they ignored my dispute and sent them to a collection agency. After contacting the CA, they stated that their policy is to delete the item from the credit report once it is paid. This policy is also stated in their website. My question is, 1) should I try disputing with the CRA the medical collection accounts and use the 1/2 punch tactic? 2) I am going to pay the tickets. However, if they do not follow their stated policy of deleting the items off my credit report, can I legally make them remove the accounts? My fear is that I'll pay these tickets, and they will simply "forget" to follow their policy and will leave them on my credit report. Thanks in advance! |

1. Yea, that's a good place to start. 2. You may want to have them sign an agreement to remove them before you pay.
