Default Credit cards after you rebuild your credit.

Relatively new here, I have the basic process of credit repair down but I have a question regarding the credit companies. Assume a person has a delinquent account or charge off with credit card company XYZ. They dispute it with all 3 CRA's and have that report deleted. They have a great credit score and go to apply for a credit card at XYZ credit company, isn't the record of that deliquent account still on file? Basically I am cleaning up my credit and once all of these items are deleted off my credit report and I rebuild my score I am wondering how I am going to get a credit card or if I can apply at some of my old companies. I'm sorry if I have completely misunderstood the process or the way things work but I don't see why or how this company would give me a credit card knowing that there was a negative account in the past. Thanks in advance.

If the account is deleted there is no way for the new credit issuer to see that you had any issues in the past.

Yes but just because it is deleted with the CRA doesn't mean the credit card company has deleted it. The account is still on their books. Am I wrong or does the account get deleted by the CC company as well when you dispute something?

Most of them would have a record of it. I wouldn't apply at a place you screwed over, that's just common sense and a waste of an inquiry.

Good advice Chane! The CRA's are supposed to delete permanetly and if the creditor wants to add back to credit report the FDCPA requires a 5 day notice to you before it is added back
