Default Starting Credit Repair

Hello,

New member here, Ive been reading for a while though. I just signed up with lexington law and had a question. They pulled my 3 reports using anualcreditreport.com, are they using the free report? I was under the impression that this would give the agencies 45 days to respond when disputing. Wouldnt it have been better to pay for a report and give myself the best chance possible with a 30 day time frame to respond?

Yes, the CRA's have 45 days to respond. Keep in mind you can pay for all 3 reports every month, it will cost around 30 dollars. I am using LL as well with some success. You may want to sign-up for a credit watch website that pulls a 3 CB's at least once a month and give LL your user name and password. I'm not sure if the extra 15 days is a big deal, Chane may want to chime in on this. Remember, it is a ling process and can take up to a year or longer. Good luck!

Hey thanks for the reply. I'm committed for the long term at least a year. Can you recomend a good site to monitor all 3 credit bureaus, that will update monthly? Like you said I'm not sure if the 15 days extra makes much of a difference but any edge is worth the extra 20-30$ a month to pay for the report. I wonder if it is too late though considering they already requested the free reports. Thanks again.

I like Identity Guard personally, it is $17.95 per month, but is really good

Yeah that is actually the one I was considering. If your a Costco member you can get it for $9.49 a month. So that is pretty good for a 3 in 1 plus it updates monthly. Still wondering if anyone has any input on if LL is pulling the free report to begin with or if it even matters compared to paying for the report and getting the 30 day window compared to the 45 days. I'm gonna sign up for ID Guard and give LL my account info regardless. Thanks
