Default New, Please Help

Hello, and I just wanted to say that this site has been extremely helpful.

Here is my story, my husband and I are currently trying to get a home loan, the problem of course is credit score...

My experian score, dont know the others, is 528...
I am somewhat confused
In my collection part of report is has a cell phone for $359
Date open 2007-03, last reported 2010-09
(I am confused because this account is much older than 2007, I dont remember exact year but atleast 2004-2005.) so what does that mean.

in credit info it has a dept. charge card that i thought was charged off but it say credit limit 300, date open 2007-08, last reported 2010-09, says transferred to another account, it does have late payments of 2 90+ lates.

i also have furniture for $1292, date open 2007-08, last reported 2010-09, says unpaid balance loss by credit grantor.

and some medical bills totaling around $1300. A couple of medical bills are recent, the bigger amounts are 3+ years.

I know alot of info, sorry here are my questions...

1 I want to fix it up, but no time to do it myself, lookin into credit repair company, is sky blue a good choose?

2 When they dispute the items, will they just go back on my credit report once verified (i cant find a percise answer on this anywhere) and if so how long does that take to be rereported? I know they have to send you a letter stating they are going to resubmit, when i get that letter does it give the opportunity to pay, or make arrangements to pay before it is resubmitted, and will it show like new debt or have the orginial date went deliquent?
Should i wait to start the process when i have enough money to pay it all off...

3 I know there are somethings not on this report that I owe, they might be on others, but will starting this process, make all of my old ghosts come out of the closet...

Thank you very much, I am very sorry for how long the post is, i just wanted u to have all the info, plus it is hard to find a good source of info on this subject and i figured since this site seems to be good that i could get my questions answered here...

Yes, Sky Blue is excellent. They are listed #2 on our best credit repair companies list.

Sometimes accounts do come back on your credit report once they are deleted, but it doesn't happen very often. If they do that they must notify you within 5 days. If they don't, send them a letter immediately requesting permanent deletion. Here's what it says in the FCRA § 611. Procedure in case of disputed accuracy [15 U.S.C. § 1681i]:

Quote:
Notice to consumer. If any information that has been deleted from a consumer's file pursuant to subparagraph (A) is reinserted in the file, the
consumer reporting agency shall notify the consumer of the reinsertion
in writing not later than 5 business days after the reinsertion or, if
authorized by the consumer for that purpose, by any other means
available to the agency.

If they're going to do it, it usually happens within a few months. Most of the time, if it's a paid account, it will come off permanently. It's the unpaid accounts that tend to creep back on the credit report.

Chane-
does that restart the SOL on those accounts that return? Also does the 7 year limit restart as well? Thanks I can't seem to get enough notepad paper to keep all this information! I'm so glad I found this site!

Sara- good luck with your home purchase, my wife and I are trying to start the process too. Any tips for a young-couple? Keep us posted, I can't learn enough

No, it doesn't restart the SOL. No, the 7 year limit doesn't restart.
